WHEN

The foundation stone of Kangaita Tea Factory was laid by the then Minister for Agriculture, the late Hon. Bruce McKenzie in 1965. It was later commissioned on the 22nd of February, 1966 by Hon. T.J. Mboya, the then Minister for Economic Planning and Development. KTDA took over the management of the Factory from George Williamson Ltd in the year 1977.
